- Advising on custody services agreements; and
- Advising on agreements related to the assessment of qualified foreign investors (QFIs).

- MAK advised a prominent Saudi company on the legal requirements and regulatory procedures necessary to obtain a license from the CMA to conduct consultancy services in securities within Saudi Arabia.
- MAK advised an international company on the establishment of an investment fund in Saudi Arabia, ensuring full compliance with the laws, regulations, and rules set by the CMA.
- MAK advised and represented a reputable Saudi company, handling all the necessary legal procedures and requirements before the CMA and other relevant authorities to obtain a license for providing consultancy services in securities within Saudi Arabia.
- MAK advised a Saudi real estate fund on the applicable laws, regulations, and rules of the CMA, ensuring the fund’s activities were fully compliant with CMA regulations and other relevant Saudi laws.
- MAK’s founding partner, Mr. Sharif Akkad, advised on the first-ever IPO for NCB in Saudi Arabia, as well as one of the first five IPOs to be offered under the Saudi Capital Markets Law (CML) and the Listing Rules, in collaboration with Clifford Chance.
- MAK advised a reputable Saudi joint-stock company on compliance with CML and the regulations of the CMA, ensuring the company’s activities align with the CML, CMA rules and regulations, and other applicable Saudi laws.
- MAK advised an international bank on a master agreement for custody services, signed with a reputable Saudi international bank to act as a Local Custodian (Authorized Person) in Saudi Arabia, in accordance with the CML, the Authorized Persons Regulations, and the Market Conduct Regulations issued by the Board of the CMA pursuant to CMA.
- MAK advised an international bank in connection with a qualified foreign investor assessment agreement signed with a reputable Saudi international bank, to act as an Assessing Authorized Person in Saudi Arabia, in accordance with the CML and the Rules for Qualified Foreign Financial Institutions’ Investment in Listed Securities issued by the Board of the CMA.
- MAK advised a Saudi bank on acting as an underwriter in relation to an underwriting agreement with a Saudi company, in accordance with the Rules on the Offer of Securities and Continuing Obligations issued by the CMA, as well as other relevant CMA Regulations and Rules.
- MAK advised a Saudi company on the preparation of a prospectus offering document, ensuring full compliance with the applicable regulations and rules issued by the CMA.
- MAK prepared and advised on an agreement in connection with a Swedish company to provide advice and recommendations regarding regular and customary strategic business partnerships, capital markets and corporate finance advice.
- MAK prepared and advised on an agency agreement for the purpose of selling, promoting, and installing the products, solutions and services portfolio of Mobile Everywhere platform in connection with capital markets and banking transactions.
- MAK advised a Saudi company in connection with the requirements and procedures to open a brokerage account in the Dubai Stock Exchange market.
- MAK advised one of the largest UK-based fund managers of multiple emerging markets funds on conducting a marketing survey in Saudi Arabia for its private equity offerings. The legal advice was provided at the instruction of a prominent international law firm and covered private placement rules, placement form and content, and compliance with the laws and regulations of the CMA and other applicable Saudi laws.
- MAK advised on the legal and regulatory framework governing private equity in Saudi Arabia, with a focus on the laws and regulations of the CMA, upon instruction from a well-known UAE law firm.
- MAK advised Arabasco in respect of the laws and regulations regulating private equity in Saudi Arabia, in particular, the laws and regulations of the CMA.
